Since I settled into being an avian furry, I’ve had this bonkers idea of a feathersuit—basically a fursuit, but instead of faux fur, a couple thousand individual faux feathers. There are two glaring problems: no one will want to make it; and those who will make it will charge tens of thousands of dollars. Solution: make it myself.

After getting tons of advice throughout my time at Anthrocon 2026, I think I’ve finally got somewhere to properly start with this idea. In this section of my website, I’ll be rigorously documenting and detailing the process by which I design, prototype and eventually build, repair and improve my feathersuit. That way, if someone is just as insane as me, they might have somewhere to start.

What I expect to build

Well, I’m finally taking this thing seriously. A fursuit—but instead of fur, a shit-ton of faux feathers. I’m not yet wholly sure how I’m going to build this. I have serveral ideas that made it past my original prototyping and proof-of-concept phases, and I have yet to determine which of those ideas is worth actually trying.
