Yes, I’m fully aware this is overkill. However, in high school, I founded a student organization without any actual idea of who does what, and it got real messy real quick. For now, though, I’m the only “officer” of any kind.

Summary
Important decisions are made through Telegram polls that are open for at least two days. However, organizers have the final say in disciplinary action for Code of Conduct violation. Also, organizers themselves can be voted out or otherwise reprimanded. (This section is non-binding.)
Structure
- The “Chat” is the Telegram group accessible by this link:
https://t.me/+4kw-h2FfzPo1MmJh. - An “Attendee” is someone who is a member of the Chat.
- An “Organizer” is someone who is an administrator of the Chat.
- Organizers may be appointed by a Supermajority Attendee Vote (see below), provided the ratio of Organizers to non-Organizer Attendees is less than one to twenty-five.
Democratic voting
- “Majority Attendee Vote” is defined as an anonymous poll open for no less than 48 hours in the Chat, the result of which is the option with the most votes. Should there be a tie, a coin toss will be held by an Organizer on a livestream to determine the outcome.
- “Supermajority Attendee Vote” is defined as a two-option anonymous poll open for no less than 48 hours in the Chat, the result of which is the option with at least two-thirds of votes. Should no option have at least two-thirds of votes, a decision cannot be made by that poll.
Planning & decision-making
- Decisions regarding time, place and activity for furmeets are to be made by the Organizer(s) with significant democratic input from regular and future attendees in the Chat.
- Final decisions regarding consequences for willful violation of the Code of Conduct are to be made by the Organizer(s) by consensus.
- Any change to these Bylaws or the Code of Conduct is to be made by a Supermajority Attendee Vote with the approval of at least one Organizer.
Power checks
- Violation by an Organizer of one of these bylaws will be remedied by a Majority Attendee Vote, the options of which may not include expulsion as an Organizer.
- Expulsion of an Organizer may be made through a Supermajority Attendee Vote as well as unanimous decision by all other Organizers, provided there is more than one Organizer.
